Coral reefs are the building blocks for the entire ocean ecosystem. Taking up less than 1% of the ocean, coral reefs are home to more than a quarter of all marine life. Without healthy coral reefs, the ocean would lose a huge amount of diversity. Anyone who visits the ocean can have a positive or negative impact on its fragile marine ecosystems.
